Barbra Bluestone Rothschild M.D, is a lecturer in clinical ethics at Columbia University. She has taught medical ethics at the graduate level for 20 years, and was an ethics researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned undergraduate and medical degrees in the area of informed consent and genetic research and the researcher’s perception of intellectual property. She is an advisor to the Oak Foundation and serves on the board of Yaffed, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting the educational rights of children.
