Retro Report is committed to supporting and uplifting teacher voices. We are pleased to announce that educators from the United States and its territories can now apply for the Retro Report Teacher Advisors 2025 cohort. Candidates can apply to three different groups, which will help us respond to the needs of educators and students nationwide.
We are looking for Middle School and High School teachers in rural, urban and suburban areas, working in public or private schools. We are mostly interested in educators currently teaching Social Studies, ELA/English, Science, Special Education and Health.
The deadline to apply is Jan. 8, 11:59 p.m. ET.
Candidates mustย register for a free teacher accountย before applying to be part of the Retro Report Teacher Advisors. In addition,ย candidates mustย plan to use Retro Report resources in 2025.

Council of Educators
This group will consist of approximately 25 educators representing diverse interests and classrooms.
Council of Educator benefits and responsibilities include:
- A $500 stipend*
- An in-person summit in NYC, expenses paid
- Semiannual virtual meetings
- Complete a survey at the end of the year about resource use
- Swag
- Opportunities for paid lesson creation
- Materials to introduce Retro Report to your district’s curriculum/social studies specialist
- Host at least one Retro Report activity in your districts, such as a film screening, student contest, teacher training or after-school club activity.
Teacher Ambassadors
This group will feature up to 150 educators from across the country and will help us put Retro Report films and education resources into the classroom in ways that most engage students.
Retro Report Ambassador benefits and responsibilities will include:
- A $300 stipend*
- Attend at least two virtual meetings
- Complete a survey at the end of the year about resource use + one additional survey
- Early access to new Retro Report lessons and materials
- Swag
- Opportunities for paid lesson creation
- Materials to introduce Retro Report to your district’s curriculum or social studies specialist
- Host at least one Retro Report activity in your districts, such as a film screening, student contest, teacher training or after-school club activity.
Retro Reps
This group will feature up to 200 educators and serve as both a sounding board and message amplifier.
Retro Report Reps benefits and responsibilities will include:
- A $75 stipend*
- Attend at least one virtual meeting
- Complete a survey at the end of the year about resource use + one additional survey
- Early access to new Retro Report lessons and materials
- Swag
*All of the requirements in the groups above must be completed in order for advisors to receive their stipend at the end of the year.
