“Generations Stolen,” which explores government policies that for decades separated Native children from their families, has won a Nonprofit News Award for its visual journalism. The Insight Award for Visual Journalism honors stories that use photography and/or other visual media to more accurately portray a community that has traditionally been underrepresented or misrepresented in news media.
