Lesson Plan: Citizen Nation: Finding Your Political Identity
Grades 9-12
A person’s political beliefs can be shaped by experiences, family, religion, geography and other factors. Political identity may hinge on the question of how much or how little government involvement people want in their lives, and which role or roles a person wants the government to play. In this short film, a high school student from Wyoming reflects on how family, society and his experiences have shaped his political beliefs.
