Apply to Become a Retro Report Teacher Advisor in 2026
Retro Report is committed to supporting and uplifting teacher voices. We are pleased to announce that educators from the United States and its territories can now apply for the Retro Report Teacher Advisors 2026 cohort. Candidates can apply for two different groups, which will help us respond to the needs of educators and students nationwide.
We are looking for educators teaching Social Studies, English/Language Arts, Science, Health, Career and Technical Education, and Special Education.
The deadline to apply is Tuesday, Jan. 6, 11:59 p.m. ET.
Candidates must register for a free teacher account before applying to be part of the Retro Report Teacher Advisors. In addition, candidates must plan to use Retro Report resources in 2026. and have the ability to introduce Retro Report to other educators in their area.
Council of Educators
This group will consist of approximately 25 educators representing a diverse group of communities and classrooms.
Benefits & Responsibilities Include:
- Participate in at least two virtual meetings
- Attend our in-person gathering in NYC (expenses paid)
- Engage in educator outreach by completing one of the following:
- Present Retro Report materials to your department, PLC, school, district or at a local conference
- Host a screening for an outside-of-class audience
- Create at least 4 personalized social media posts/threads that highlight how you use Retro Report
- Create a short article or testimonial to disseminate in a district, state or regional newsletter
- Use Retro Report resources and provide feedback
- Create resources (lesson/interactive/primary source set)
- Complete a survey at the end of the year
- Receive premium SWAG
- $500 stipend (paid at Summer gathering in NYC)
Teacher Ambassadors
This group of educators will help us reach additional teachers and provide essential feedback about Retro Report’s resources and the needs of teachers across the country.
Benefits & Responsibilities Include:
- Participate in at least two virtual meetings
- Engage in educator outreach by completing one of the following:
- Present Retro Report materials to your department, PLC, school, district or at a local conference
- Host a screening for an outside-of-class audience
- Create at least 4 personalized social media posts/threads that highlight how you use Retro Report
- Create a short article or testimonial to disseminate in a district, state or regional newsletter
- Attend and recruit attendees for in-person special events (for New York City-area educators)
- Use Retro Report resources and provide feedback
- Complete a survey at the end of the year
- Fantastic SWAG!
- Opportunities for paid lesson creation
- $300 stipend (paid in December)
